Here are the simple steps you need to take for Listing and Selling a new item:

Pick the item you want to sell from the right category:

When you’ve found an exact match, click the “Select this item” button on the right-hand side of that page. Make sure you have selected the right item in the right category!

There can be several editions or formats of the same item–make sure you have the correct one. If you didn’t find the item you looking for, you can list it manually and enter the item title, description and item images. You can also sell your item from Souq.com’s home page by clicking Sell an item on the top bar or from the Selling section of your My Account page.

Describe the condition of your item:

Select the condition and describe it in the offer note! Enter any comments regarding the condition item. For example, the book has a scratched cover or moderate highlighting.

Set the selling price that you want to sell your item for, and should take into account all applicable costs (including fees and payment processing fees) when listing and pricing your items.

Select your shipping preferences and handling time:

You can choose the appropriate shipping services for your item, either the ones that provided by shipping couriers or provided by you [if applicable], and select the handling time that you’ll take to ship the item after an order being received, taking in consideration that the handling time does not include the number of business days the shipping service will take to deliver the item to the buyer.

Review and Confirm:

Review the information you have entered carefully to make sure that your listing will appear as want it to. Although you can edit certain fields in your Seller Account once your listing has been created, other fields, cannot be edited. If you want to change these fields, it will be necessary to close the current listing and create another.

It is very important that you map your items in the right category. You need to make sure that you have selected the correct names from the listing options.

For example, if you wish to sell an Apple iPhone, you need to select the below from the listing options:

Mobiles & Accessories > Mobile Phones and NOT Accessories > Apple

Make sure the items you are selecting are correct!

If you chose a different brand or item type for example, the offer displayed will be wrong and you will end up either losing money or customer interest, and we all know that bad ratings by buyers will definitely affect your sales growth!

Displaying the right items on site with their right categories and item description will help you be more visible to customers, so make sure you do it right!

What happens to Security & Resolutions (S&R) section?

You can now file a complaint through the ‘Contact Us’ section from Souq.com homepage.

Simply fill in your details and our Customer Support representatives will be in touch with you within 24 to 48 hours.

When will my money be released?

Your money will be released ones the delivery is made to the buyer and 3 days have passed without receiving any complain from the customer

Why have the Q&A section disappeared?

We want you to focus on growing your business on site and leave the customer queries to us! Our Customer Support team is well-trained and dedicated to help all customers with their requirements and is more than happy to take that burden off your shoulders!

 When will my items appear when I list a new offer?

If your items have been filled properly under the right categories with detailed description and attributes, then they will appear on site 24 to 48 hours after posting them.

Where are my old items?

If you have converted your items from the old Souq.com to the new one and are now appearing on site yet, then rest assure they will be live soon!  We are working on enhancing the information of all converted items, and will be displaying them very soon.

If you have not converted your items from the old site yet, then you need to go to ‘Manage Your Listings’ section to convert all your items and allow them to appear on the new site.

Click on ‘My Account’ on Souq.com Homepage > ‘Manage Your Listings’ in the bottom left of the page.

Important notice:

This feature will be live for another 20 days. Make sure you convert your items very soon so that they appear on the New Souq.com

How do I print my airway bills?

On the the left bottom side of ‘My Account’ page,  click on ‘Confirmed Sales Orders’ .

You will get to a page that includes all the sales orders details. With each item, you will see a button under each section that says ‘More Options’ – click on it and select ‘Print Shipping Label’

Where do I see my sold items?

Simply click on the ‘Confirmed Sales Orders’ on the left bottom side of ‘My Account’ page.

Important notice:

Our Customer Support team is currently helping you confirming all your orders. Soon you will be requested to confirm that on your own!

In the future, new orders will automatically appear in the New Sales Orders. You will need to confirm them and they will be automatically shifted to the Confirmed Sales Orders section.

Where is my-Wallet?

All the transactions fees can be viewed inside the ‘My Account’ section.

Simply go through the list on the top left of the page. You can easily edit your Bank Details or select to ‘Withdraw’ transactions when clicking on the options included. Simple and straightforward!

Have any fees changed or increased?

No. We still charge 5% commission + AED 5 transaction fees
